It’s going to be a while before we get Venture Bros. Season Five. However, since we didn’t begin the Venture Bros. Dossier until Season Four, there are thirty-nine unrecapped episodes just laying around. Even if you don’t have the DVD’s, Adult Swim is repeating the series from the beginning. So we’re going to do the same with a series of retro recaps, starting with the official pilot “Dia De Los Dangerous”. The actual pilot, “The Terrible Secret of Turtle Bay”, isn’t considered in-continuity, and Jackson Publick is really embarassed by it. It’s available on the Season One DVDs, but they never air it on Adult Swim. You should definitely watch “Turtle Bay” with the commentary track, if only to hear Jackson’s horrified reaction early on – “This is actually kind of racist”.
