Her next live-action appearance was in 1992’s Batman Returns. Michelle Pfeiffer played Selina Kyle, who was dropped out of a window by her boss and then resurrected by a bunch of cats. It does not make any more sense than that in the actual movie. Her performance is generally regarded as one of the high points of the movie, and it’s a pretty good portrayal of Catwoman, once you get past the kitty-based mysticism. And if you were a 17-year-old nerd who didn’t have any actual experience with women, you probably made mental notes during every Bruce/Selina scene so you could repeat those lines later. Or perhaps that was just me.
