Bleep My Dad Says–Ah yes, the sitcom that was born of a twitter account. It was given a gift of a timeslot right out of Big Bang Theory, so even though it often retains only about half that show’s audience, the numbers are still unbelievably decent. Shatner tries his best, but the whole premise is just so dumb. What’s funny in 140 character bursts is not good for 22 minutes of laughs.
Bridalplasty – Confession time. We actually haven’t seen a full episode of this monstrosity. The premise alone convinced us that this was real “Fall of the Roman Empire” stuff, and the clips that Joel McHale aired confirmed those suspicions. Emotionally and economically vulnerable women compete in demeaning challenges, and the “winner” gets massive plastic surgery before her wedding day. Plastic surgery can be a major life decision, and to see women manipulated into competing for it is disgusting. Remember years ago when the first episode of Nip/Tuck had Dr. Troy taking a marker to a naked woman’s body to illustrate all her flaws? That scene was clearly satirical, but it was still decried as being horribly misogynistic. And in 2010, Bridalplasty devoted an episode to having a real doctor do exactly that to real women. There are no words for this monstrosity.
