The AeroPress suggested that I pour 175-degree water over my finely ground beans for the perfect balance, and so I did. I steeped the finely ground grounds for 10-seconds, and then pressed the Espresso through a filter, then filled the balance of my mug with 175-degree water. I want to have all my coffee loving friends over for coffee and we can just marvel at coffee perfection. Then we hang out and eat some cheesecake with our java like Blanche, Dorothy, Rose and Sophia would have if they’d been lucky enough to have this wonderful contraption.
Am I being overdramatic? Possibly. Acting a little bit Agent Dale Cooper on Twin Peaks, practically shouting about this “darn good coffee”? You bet. But when you dig into my psyche (and my ego), you’ll find nearly 1/3rd of my Facebook status updates reference coffee, and almost 1/4th of all my blog posts mention coffee, and that I’ve read 2 books on the topic of coffee (I don’t know why), and that I like stories about coffee and I like people who brew good coffee for me, well …given this evidence you’d come to realize coffee is something I enjoy very much. I’m like Lorelai and Rory Gilmore over here! So, to receive an AeroPress and have it live up to the hype …it’s just …just …oh, gosh, I’m going to get all emotional. But, it’s just wonderful.
