I am not a rock critic. I am a 35 year old woman who is unapologetic in my love of many types of music that “cool” people might shun. Especially if that music was popularized in the 1980’s. I was about 13 when New Kids on the Block hit the scene, and 16 when they hit their zenith in 1989. Really, I was a bit too old to admit publicly that I liked them at all, while secretly jamming out to “I’ll Be Loving You Forever” and “Hangin’ Tough” in my room.
