The one big hiccup would be the NKOTB classic “I’ll be Loving You Forever”, which requires Jordan Knight to sing almost entirely in falsetto. There was a bum note early on, and the rest of the song was spent waiting for another one. He made it through, but it’s not the same all these years later. On the other hand, Joey McIntyre had his high-pitched solo, “Please Don’t Go, Girl” rearranged in a lower key to compensate for the fact that he’s not 12 anymore.
Speaking of those two, they each got the spotlight with their solo songs from the late 90s. Jordan turned his time into a Chippendales show, performing an R&B ballad with his white shirt billowing behind him thanks to a wind machine, while Joey turned his feel good song “Stay the Same” into a gospel number that really showed his background in musical theater more than anything else. He has grown up to become the most well-rounded performer in the group, however, with rich vocals, leading man charisma and great moves.
