The Crowded Snowglobe

In Lost Season One, Charlie scammed a woman whose father owned “a paper company in Slough”, which would presumably be Wernham-Hogg from the original British Office. We can draw several conclusions here. First, both versions of The Office co-exist in the same world. And since the pilots of both used the same script, that means events in Slough repeated themselves exactly several years later in Scranton, PA. Thematically, that makes sense in the world of Lost. (Remember, Dunder-Mifflinites – it only ends once. Everything before that is just progress.) And while Dwight Schrute is a fan of Lost, he also thinks the Dharma Initiative is a corporation run by aliens, which sure makes me think he’s watching a different show than we were.
