BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT – The “Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas” episode of Community. Doing a stop-
motion holiday episode as a tribute to the old Rankin-Bass specials was a great idea in and of itself. That they used the gimmick to create such a funny and emotionally resonant half-hour was nothing short of amazing. You’ll really feel for Abed when you learn why he’s looking for the meaning of Christmas, but you’ll also get some great laughs from the Christmas Pterodactyl and Shirley’s irritation at being cast as a baby doll. Sometimes you can tell you’re watching a classic in the making – the Community Christmas episode is one of those classics.
