It’s funny every time Epstein brings a note to class that’s signed ‘Epstein’s Mother’. Even though the joke depends on Mr. Kotter reading the note to the class, which has never happened in any classroom ever. That’s the sort of labored set-up that I should hate. It’s funny whenever Horshack makes that, “Ooh, Ooh,” noise, and it shouldn’t be. “Up your nose with a rubber hose”? That’s comedy gold! I even think it’s funny at the beginning and end of every episode when Kotter tells his wife a Catskills-style jokes about his various uncles. That’s right, beginning and end. They shouldn’t have been able to get away with one scene every week that was nothing but Kotter telling a joke that was old when Milton Berle was teething, but they did two of those every week. How does that not earn my ire?
