Trump compliments Rock Solid on the fact that they still did an excellent job raising money, and since everybody did such an amazing job he’s not going to fire anybody.

You can take Trump at his word, where nobody did the kind of work that should get them fired. However, you can also be cynical and claim that they just didn’t want Sharon to be fired so this is a Hail Mary Pass. I’m taking the practical view, however. NBC wants a certain number of episodes, and since Michael Johnson left, that means there needs to be an episode without a firing. This was an excellent task to give everybody a pass, so there you go. Now they have enough episodes to make sure that the finale is up against the Lost finale, which seems like an insane programming decision. It’s possible I’m the only person who watches both shows (and I’m definitely the only person who recaps both of them), but I just think you’d want to steer clear of a major event like that.
