I’m going to be honest with you – their commercial doesn’t make any sense at all. I think the joke is that Darryl is supposed to be gay? Maybe? I don’t get it. Ivanka comes by just as he’s getting things under control and Summer explains that they have “one ad that’s on the serious side of diabetes, and one that’s on the funny side”. I’m pretty sure Dave Berg did that feature for MAD Magazine at least once. “The Lighter Side of… Diabetes”. Ivanka’s baffled that he would do two commercials instead of just the required one.
