Don Jr. weighs in, and jokes that he thought Bret was going to be a washout. Ivanka is the first person to really make the point that Bret got there on his own merit – he isn’t coasting on sympathy. Since everything except this episode was shot before any of Bret’s problems, we shouldn’t need somebody to tell us this. And yet, it turns out that we do. Ivanka’s doing her best to keep this from being a complete joke.
