They assemble in the lobby at Trump Tower. He’s flanked by the Trumplings and two guys in suits. Greg and Mike run ACN, a ‘home-based marketing company’, which to me sounds like code for ‘pyramid scheme’. The execs announce the task, which is to produce a 30-second commercial showcasing their new video phone. Isn’t it weird how that suddenly became a thing? It’s not like they’re prevalent or anything, but one day they didn’t exist, and then they did. I feel like Jetsons technology deserves more fanfare, but this just sort of snuck in. Anyway, they’ll present their ad to 450 of ACN’s “independent representatives”, which still makes it sound like a scam. You just know they have ambiguously worded notices in the classifieds, and all of them say things like “Do you have the courage to be your own boss?”
