Susan and Tony have the mambo this week. In an interview, it would seem that Susan likes to apply body glitter on a random Wednesday, as she’s wearing it in rehearsal. She tells Tony she’s having trouble finding her “freedom” so he takes her to meet Cameron Mathison and some pals at a Mambo club, where Susan boogies down. She actually loosens up, but there might have been lots of shots or glasses of wine that we didn’t see get consumed. Susan tells us she plans to be “wild and untamed” this week. Yay?
Their dance is alright, but still feels very careful and stiff. Also, it’s always very clear when Tony’s sort of maneuvering her across the floor. At the end, Susan pretends to have claws and scratches at me. Just…no. Carrie Ann congratulates Susan on breaking the “box” she was in last week, but has no substantial criticism. Bruno wants to praise the “temptress” but has to point out that she lost her timing a lot. Michael kisses up and tells her that she was “intoxicating” and “became the dance”. Seriously? He also opines that Carrie Ann and Bruno should be married, since they’re bickering, but I can’t agree. While getting the scores, 8 from Carrie Ann and Michael and 7 from Bruno, Susan has a cheery answer for all the inane Samantha questions. I just feel like every moment she’s onstage, no matter the circumstances, she’s rehearsed it in a mirror, and it annoys me!
