On the dance floor, the dance begins with Corky tearin’ it up solo, and the conceit is that he’s teaching Cloris to dance, allowing them to do it at about quarter speed. There are some awkward spins and then a total and complete lift (best description I can give is an airplane!) that has to be illegal and I’m amazed doesn’t break a hip or more. Good Lord. Thankfully, Anna Faris is there to cheer her on. Odd.
Tom is totally caught off guard, saying they didn’t do that in rehearsal. Yeah, because they would have been told not to do it! Bruno says he can’t believe she can sell such nonsense and “people buy it!”, responding to the audience’s wild cheers. Michael says she’s a legend and his father told him not to say a bad word about her. He praises Corky as a “talented young man” instead. Carrie Ann is smiling, but she’s totally done with this fiasco, and actually says what many are thinking, “We lost Toni Braxton for this?” Go Carrie Ann! Cloris tries to further incite the booing crowd. I know she’s just having fun, but isn’t this farce over already? The scores are all 5’s for a 15, and Samantha is dead serious in the interview. Cloris is not, and says that the fact that all the scores were 5’s means they’re “definite”.
