Dancing With the Stars–Performances Week 3 (Mar 24)

Shawn Johnson and Mark (27/30) She was worried about being smooth and elegant in her foxtrot.  The truth is, she’s becoming more and more ladylike each week. Carrie Ann gushed over it.  Len called it her best dance so far.  Bruno compared her to a “bejeweled hummingbird”, which I don’t think actually occurs in nature.

Gilles Marini and Cheryl  (27/30) Gilles admitted his lack of fame amongst his castmates makes him work even harder to nail the routines.  In his rehearsal, we see his “Mommy” come to visit all the way from France.  She’s, as you might imagine, sort of chic and adorable at the same time and actually says “Ooh la la” while watching them practice. Gilles suggested his mother cover her eyes if the samba got too hot.  It did.  They rocked the ballroom.  Len said they made a hard dance look easy.  Bruno compared Gilles to a throbbing red hot…poker” and you could see Tom’s wheels turning.  Carrie Ann said Cheryl “worked it” on his behalf.  It seems having a lesser known competitor who could actually win the thing gives Cheryl the ol’ eye of the tiger, huh?
