The next fake endorsement is a black and white spoof of PETA, for the fake organization called People for the Ethical Treatment of Dancers…PETD. In involves the remaining pros saying they’d rather go naked than see another dancer injured by a celebrity’s cruelty. They cover their naughty bits with mirror balls. It’s cute, but haven’t the celebs been the ones injured at an alarming rate?
Genya Mazo, Afton Del Grosso, Mayo Alenin and Ana don’t-even-make-me-try-to-spell-it are back to compete in the “Pick a Pro” round. A little name recognition goes a long way, it seems. Genya and Afton are working together on the quickstep. He says he hasn’t danced ballroom “in ages”. Genya’s pretty cocky, while Afton’s a bit more humble. Their dance is lovely, of course, and I’m pretty partial to Afton. Len points out the slight blunder on the ending pose, but said he enjoyed it. Bruno says they managed to showcase their personalities, as well as dance beautifully. Carrie Ann compliments Afton when she says she couldn’t tell it had been a while since Genya danced ballroom, so she must be a great teacher.
