Let’s look at the scores, from first to worst:
Nicole Sherzinger & Derek (25) These two are having way too much fun in training. I want Derek to teach me to dance! They have the Viennese Waltz. My verdict? Now that’s a waltz! It was dramatic and graceful. Bruno and Carrie Ann gush. Len gets overly nitpicky, which secretly means he thought it was awesome enough to critique her like a real dancer which, of course, she actually is. Pretty sure she’s going to be in the finals.
Evan Lysecek & Anna (23) Upon their first meeting, Anna tells Evan it was Yevgeny Plusheko’s own fault he lost the gold medal to Evan, which only increases her awesomeness in my book. They also have the Waltz. I would say if an ice skater could get any dance out of the gate, this would be their pick. They look polished and poised and his height adds a dimension. Carrie Ann compliments his lines, but wants him to watch his toes. Len likes his musicality but wants him to work on his footwork and chemistry with Anna. Bruno says he’s graceful, but agrees with the others on what he needs to improve.
