Florence Henderson–On the other hand, who doesn’t know who Florence Henderson is? Well, maybe kids under, say, 20, but this is a woman who is much of a pop culture icon as anyone who has ever been on this program. It’s hard to say if Carol Brady will still be charming all these years after her heyday, but I suspect that she’s still as beloved as ever to most of us who grew up watching her. Unfortunately, because she’s a woman of a certain age, that means we have to be subjected to cheesy Corky Ballas as her pro partner. Perhaps if Florence is at all competitive, he won’t be as aggressively goofy as he was when he had his hands full with Cloris Leachman. And we’re on Barry Williams watch; you know the former Greg Brady won’t be able to resist the chance to ogle his
former TV mom and get some camera time in the process. Maybe he can sing that great song to accompany her waltz: “Clowns never laughed before, beanstalks never grew…”
