Myndi and EJ split up the contestants for some Snap Judgments. Who’s a contender? Who’s going to irritate us? Let’s find out!
EJ Rick Fox – Usually, when we split up the DWTS Snap Judgments, I try to pass all the athletes off on 
Myndi, because I like to try and hide my ignorance about sports as much as possible. But I willingly took former Laker Rick Fox because he used to be a regular on HBO’s prison drama, Oz. He played Jackson Vahue, a professional basketball player sent to jail for attempted sexual assault. (You can tell it was fiction because an athlete was punished for mistreating a woman. Yeah, just try and handle my truth bombs.) Since I love just about anything associated with Oz, I expect to root for Rick. Still, it’s worth noting that while athletes usually do well on Dancing, basketball players specifically have not (Clyde Drexler). And actors who’ve appeared on Oz have a dismal record (Ashley Hamilton). If somebody’s going to break either of those curses, it’s going to be Rick. Because, after all, he’s partnered with Cheryl Burke, who is awesome. Her partner is almost automatically a contender (unless they’re Tom DeLay or Wayne Newton), so this could be good. In other news, wow, how did they think to pair Cheryl up with an athlete? They’re really mixing it up this season.
