Kurt Warner – Now, the NFL has a really strong record on Dancing. One winner and two finalists in past years, and a couple guys who made it past the halfway point. Warner is a quarterback with a heck of a career behind him. Seriously, when I have to write about athletes, I just hit wikipedia for a quick overview, and this guy’s entry is huge. (That’s what she said! Maybe? Does that work?) He’s got a lot of awards and honors, and seems to be remarkably free of scandal. We haven’t seen a QB on this show before, so it’ll be fun to see whether those skills carry over to the dance floor the way Jerry Rice’s or Emmitt Smith’s did. However, because of those guys, he’s also going to be held to a higher standard than the others. I’ll be rooting for him though, because his partner is spunkybuddy Anna Trebunskaya, and I’ve always got her back. She tends to end up with partners who are either eliminated in the first couple of weeks (Steve Guttenberg, Albert Reed), or guys who make it to second place. Fingers crossed that we get to watch Anna all season! And, you know, her partner.
