Margaret Cho – Holy smokes, you guys! In 2008, Margaret Cho is quoted as saying “I think Sarah
Palin is the worst thing to happen to America since 9/11”. And while that seems extreme, you can’t deny that having her and Bristol in the celebriquarium together has the potential to be awesome! I cannot wait. As for Cho herself, well, she does have some burlesque experience, and that’s about it. That’s more than a lot of people have coming in, but it also seems like America doesn’t like her. And I don’t necessarily think it’s a political thing – as evidenced above, she’s more than a little outspoken. But even before she became a gay rights activist, people just didn’t respond to her material. Her 90’s sitcom flopped, none of her concert films have really been successful, she’s had a reality show bomb – basically, she’s had a lot of shots at connecting, and it just doesn’t happen. Essentially, she’s been famous in complete defiance of public wishes since 1994. I don’t think she’ll make it far at all. Her partner, Louis Van Amstel has a tough road ahead of him. And honestly, if he was occasionally shocked by Niecy Nash last season, this is going to be an awkward pairing. He seems so quiet and sweet, while Cho is… not.
