Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With The Stars, Season 12, Performance Week 4

Kirstie & Maks (22/30)–After another DWTS first–She lost her shoe mid dance–Kirstie should be all done with crazy mishaps for awhile, I think.  Carrie Ann was impressed that she didn’t miss a beat, but said the dance wasn’t great. Len said the posture, footwork and movement all need improvement.  Bruno said that she was light on her feet with great musicality, even though the routine itself was a bit of a mess.  Once again, the way she reacted and the charm she manages to exude through it all will get her through to next week, mark my words.

Sugar Ray & Anna (21/30) –“Waltz of the Flowers” from The Nutcracker put them in the world of classical Russian ballet.  It also put Anna into that badass teacher frame of mind, until she took Ray to ballet school and made him wear electric blue tights.  Anna’s costume was darling, with her heels tied up her ankles with ribbon, so they look like toe shoes, and her dress covered in tulle.  They even threw some balletic moves into the routine.  It was charming and sweet, but did Ray do enough actual dancing?  Carrie Ann loved it.  Len kind of dismissed the technique in favor of entertainment value.  Bruno agreed, and Anna was happy that her pupil was getting credit for what he learned.
