The first safe couple is Hines and Kym, which is not hugely surprising. Chris and Cheryl are also, predictably safe. This leaves Sugar Ray and Anna to find out their fate later. Oh, come on, Tom! Don’t play me like that! It’s too early in the season for me to be stressing about Anna’s longevity.
With that, it’s time for Chris Brown! It looks like he starts out in an alley next to a steaming dumpster. Then a little boy with a fauxhawk runs onto the stage, announces “Hey, it’s Chris Brown!”, and promptly busts a move. What the hell just happened? Chris’ backup dancers are actually wearing karate outfits, which is pretty awesome. But I’m kind of cranky about this, all in all. I mean, I wish they weren’t so willingly to embrace an unrepentant abuser like this. That just doesn’t sit right with me. And his GMA freakout leads me to believe he’s still a jerk who needs a long time-out. Tom does not take the stage after the musical number and instead introduces the next segment from afar.
great article!
