And here we go with Cloris Leachman. She’s got 9 Emmys, a Golden Globe and an Oscar, none of which can help her here. There is much talk of the ages of she and her partner, Mark’s father Corky Ballas. Together, they are 129. No, really. They use Yiddish accents and discuss her bunions and blood pressure. It’s sort of funny at this point. Then, they dance, and the wheels fall off.
They do the fox trot, and it appears the fish faces are genetic in the Ballas family. The routine is extremely slow, and Cloris loses her place several times. As much as I enjoy Cloris Leachman, it’s hard to watch her struggle through this. I do give her big props for having the guts to do this, however. She gets a standing ovation.
