Kerri Walsh is in the crowd, just to watch volleyball teammate Misty May Treanor do her thing with Maks! I’m so glad he’s back. So arrogant, but so damn hot. Anyway, Misty. She is introduced to us “playing” beach volleyball in a ball gown. In rehearsal, Misty is very excited about being girly. Maks points out how muscular she is and how it won’t be easy, but it’s pretty clear that the athletes live for this stuff, and they train like crazy.
Their fox trot is good, but definitely not great. She has a ways to go on her form, but I’m just relieved she’s not another Monica Seles. Carrie Ann says she attacked the dance with intensity, but she should try not to muscle everything. Len cites the dance’s elegance and says she did well in hold. Bruno says she’s glowing, but points out her turns and shoulders, which need help. She’ll be a dark horse, especially with all the Olympic good will in her back pocket. Her scores are a 6 from Carrie Ann, an 8 from Len and a 7 from Bruno for a total of 21.
