Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With the Stars: Season 7 Premiere! (Sep 23)

And last for tonight, we have Warren Sapp, a former NFL defensive star, who won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Bucaneers.  He says his dance background is limited to the sack dances he’d do after crushing quarterbacks. Kym Johnson, his partner, says she’s “the bubbly blonde who means business.”  Warren is a huge guy, bigger and, um, wider, than any of the NFL players who have done this before. But he seems rather light on his feet in rehearsal, and is up for the challenge of it all.  He’s rather charming, actually.

They dance a cha cha cha to “Do I Do” by Stevie Wonder, and Warren is movin’ and groovin’ from the first note.  I thoroughly enjoyed this.  He moves really well for a big guy, and even did a trick at the end where he spun Kym around twice while she was between his legs.  Pressed for time, Len says it was fun, Carrie Ann says he brings joy to the dance floor, and Bruno says it was good and to keep it up.  They get straight 7’s for a total of 21, to which Warren responds, “Blackjack!”  He’s a cool guy until further notice.
