He returns to the finalists and calls them “underage, unwed and unpronounceable.” Gilles takes the obligatory penis joke in stride. Jeff makes a short joke about Shawn. He asks Melissa to marry him and says it’d be ironic if she came in second tonight, too. Well, technically she didn’t come in second on The Bachelor…right away. I assume the joke he must not have been allowed to make at Denise Richards’ expense was probably FILTHY, right? I guess he made the most of what he had to work with, but that wasn’t as good as I’d hoped it might be. (Network TV and a mandate not to hurt anybody’s feelings aren’t exactly conducive to a roast. – EJ)
