Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With the Stars: Season 9, Performance Week 8 (Nov 9)

To fill time, the judges are telling us what they’re looking for which each celebrity in both rounds.  I can promise you there were no major revelations and we were reminded for the 827th time that Aaron has gone from boy to man.  I’m just glad we were spared video of the deflowering.  I think I just threw up in my mouth at the thought.  Prior to the Latin round, a group of pros, led by Tony Dovolani and Mark Ballas, demonstrated the dances in a montage of sorts, which is always a nice feature.

Mya & Dmitry–Their Quickstep (29) at first seemed like Mya was playing it really safe and was a little nervous, but she opened up about halfway through and rocked it.  Not the most exciting quickstep ever, but she’s still solid and graceful.  Len makes it sound like he’s going to rip into them and tricks everyone by saying he’s disappointed that there’s nothing to criticize.  Everyone heaves a sigh of relief.  Bruno & Carrie Ann add more praise onto that and Mya looks truly delighted to receive it. . For the 70s Samba (30), Mya wants to channel Donna Summer or Diana Ross.  Dmitry, however, had a choreography block.  I think he did admirably in the end, and it showed in the combination of disco and samba moves.  Carrie Ann is a believer in Mya now.  Len is effusive with praise for her hips.  Bruno is inspired to sing “Aint No Mountain High Enough” very badly. But it’s the first perfect score of the season TOTAL 59/60
