In their clip package, Kelly remembers both her Viennese Waltz, which was a revelation, and her tango, which was awful. She thinks the Charleston was a breakthrough because she didn’t think while she was performing that dance. Carrie Ann visited the rehearsal for their Argentine Tango and helped Kelly work on passion and romance with Louis. Tough, since he’s like her big brother. In my estimation, it pays off. The dance, one of my favorites, is crisp and sexy, and I think her kicks and her lines are excellent. Are there people who could do it better? Sure; but Kelly’s overall arc makes this dance all the more impressive. She shouldn’t be this sultry or graceful, but she’s come so far.
