So, who will wear the skimpiest costumes? Will there be any showmances? What good music will the band positively butcher and ruin forever? Well, that all remains to be seen, but for now, let’s make random observations based on very little information, shall we?
Myndi’s Snap Judgements:
Marissa Jaret Winokur, star of stage and screen, paired with Tony Dovolani. Well, really, mostly stage. Marissa won a Tony for originating the role of Tracey Turnblad in the Broadway musical Hairspray. Her TV and film credits include supporting roles in Stacked, where she had to work around Pam Anderson’s boobs and Fever Pitch, where she had to work around Drew Barrymore’s chin. Marissa does have a lot of dance experience, doing eight shows a week on Broadway, so she could be a bit of a ringer. She’s a tiny little thing, height-wise, which may cause problems, as her pro’s past partners have included leggy Stacey Keibler and Jane Seymour. Another possible detriment could be her giant hair.
