Now it’s sort of a recap of the season’s most memorable moments, including Michael Bolton in the doghouse for “the worst Jive in 11 years”. Florence pulled her shirt off in rehearsal, which I don’t remember happening on the show. Then it’s the montage of “People who shouldn’t have been eliminated before Bristol”. It’s a long piece.
This leads into Brandy and Maks doing their Friends number from TV theme week. I think Brandy’s still pissed, because that is the fakest of fake smiles right there.
Christina Aguilera is back to perform “Beautiful”, and it seems disingenuous that a hot girl sings this song. That’s bothered me for years. However, there is a version that Elvis Costello did for an episode of House which is just incredible. Man, he should be a musical guest on this show. It will not happen, but it would be fantastic.
