Filler segment #2 is a new version of an old favorite, showing everyone as they go through their “showday” paces. It seems like everyone likes to visit and chat with everyone else as a way to distract from their nerves. The package employs sped up video as we get to go backstage with everyone, hitting dressing rooms, craft services and wardrobe along the way. Everything’s super-scripted here, and it’s most obvious with Aaron, Mya, Kelly and Donny. Despite that, it’s kind of cute to see Kelly seek out Michael to hang with by the trailers. (I love how long those two spent together, too. I think they’re in a book club together. – EJ)
