Dancing With the Stars: Week 6 Results

So, Maks has spent the last 24 hours trashing Len in the media for being too old to judge the show, and I’m hoping there are some fireworks tonight.   That’d be sort of awesome, but I highly doubt it will happen.

Tom and Brooke tell us about how the leaderboard is “in flux” and then announce that Erin & Maks are safe.  He kisses her warmly on the cheek.  I continue to hope they’re dating.

Len was disappointed with Nicole & Derek, whom he says were “all sizzle and no sausage”.  And he’s right, you need botafogos and voltas in the samba!  (Cheryl taught them to me on the DWTS workout DVD!)  Nicole is annoying in the confessional.  Evan is clearly worried about going home, which I hope is unfounded.  Len loves Jake’s commitment, while making excuses for his trip on the steps.  He says Pam’s footwork wasn’t precise, and she admits she has to work on technique.  Niecy walks right up to Len as he’s recording the bit (a surprise, I’m sure) and asks how he thinks she did.  He feels Chad was the best of the night.  He calls Maks a “distraction” to Erin’s potential. (Oooh, burn!) And, of course, he calls the swing marathon brilliant.  Since it was so hard to follow from home, I’ll have to take his word for it.  The encore dance goes to Chad and Cheryl for their best dance of the season so far.  And, for the second night in a row, they’re very striking with this Argentine tango.
