Dancing With the Stars: Week 9 Performances (May 5)

Melissa Rycroft and Tony’s (57/60) Viennese waltz seems a bit careful until the end when they bust out a spin and leg extension by Melissa to finish the routine.  Bruno picks on something called “picket turns”.  Carrie Ann is missing something about how she’s supposed to be turning her body.  Len loved everything but her feet, which they’ve all deemed too “balletic”. Melissa tries to get out of her samba solo on the technicality that she’s “not a celebrity”, which is endearing.  No need, because she shakes those hips like a champ.  It’s a fun routine, with lots of samba technique and it’s definitely a party dance.  Len and Bruno are complimentary.  Carrie Ann says she must point out the flaws since the competition is so tight, but follows that with “Take the week off!  You’re flawless!” Tony is all abuzz over the perfect score, which he hasn’t seen Season 2 with Stacy Keibler.
