Dancing With the Stars: Week 9 Performances (May 5)
Gilles Marini and Cheryl (56/60) A foxtrot to “Fever” can only help Gilles, right? Oh, look, Cheryl’s sporting one of the two leopard printed looks of the evening; more on that in a moment. That was the sexiest foxtrot ever, that’s for sure. And technically proficient as well. Len nitpicks the extension and straightness of Gilles’ legs, although he enjoyed it. Bruno says he was in a class by himself and Carrie Ann agrees. (29)
Dancing rumba was apparently Gilles’ goal for the show, and he wants to show the “Latin lover deep inside him”. Um, what? I think I might have passed out there for a second. The dance is hot and actually culminates in them rolling around on the floor. The solo, at the start, isn’t very rumba-ish; more like moonwalking. Carrie Ann and Len didn’t like the solo at the beginning or that crazy ending. Bruno calls it “ravaged by the savage”, which is, for Bruno, a good thing. (27)
