And then she and Tom both read the same line on the prompter. Ha! Spoke too soon! Erin and Maks are safe, as are Chad and Cheryl. Yeah–no way was an NFL player leaving week one. We’re down to Shannen and Kate awaiting their fates.
Pam and Damien join them centerstage, so the bottom two is a bottom three for the moment. Kate is all frowns on camera, but then it’s revealed she and Tony are safe, which should really surprise no one who watches reality TV. And in the end, Shannen and Mark get the first boot, which seems wrong on one hand, but fine on the other. She seems ready to leave, having accomplished her goal to dance for her father. Plus, her teeth were extremely distracting. And, as it turns out, we would have had to deal with Corky dancing in Mark’s place, as he injured his knee in dress rehearsal and is out for the next six weeks. So, we’ll brace for another potential meltdown from Kate next week, and see if Buzz has any more astronaut t-shirts lying around. Join us then, won’t you?
