We’re adding another show to our recap roster with FlashForward. Since we didn’t have the necessary time to devote to it early on, we’re going to catch up during the break and start recapping from the very beginning.
Now, since most of our recapping projects have either begun once a series was already long established or else we started at the beginning, this is going to be a little different. Despite the fact that we’re ten episodes in, the recaps will be spoiler-free, unless it’s funny. However, I’m not going to act like I don’t know the character’s names until they’re formally introduced. We know who Mark and Demetri are, so I’ll just use their names from the beginning.
All right, ready for some weirdness? I know I am!
Do you know how I can tell when I’m going to like a show? When it has David Goyer (the guy who co-wrote Dark Knight) heavily featured in the opening credits. That’s usually a pretty good clue. We first see Mark (Joseph Fiennes) in an overturned vehicle. There’s been an accident, there’s blood and oranges everywhere. When he crawls out of the car, we see the chaos around him. People are lying dead in the road, others are screaming. Every car is stopped, most of them wrecked. There is a guy on fire. That’s how you know they’re not playing around.
