The new season is upon us, and the All-Pilot Project is ready. True, there are some straggling pilots from last season, but nobody cares about Hitched or Ditched anymore, if they ever did. We’re looking to the future and a bold new season. So let’s kick things off with three CW pilots guaranteed to make you feel old.
Melrose PlaceCW, Tuesday 9 PM
The Premise: An update of the 90’s hit about hot people who live in a fancy apartment complex. Only this time it begins with the murder of one of the original cast. Gasp!
The Personnel: Thomas Calabro and Laura Leighton reprise their roles from the original series, though Leighton doesn’t make it past the opening credits. Noted lip-syncer and nose job recipient Ashlee Simpson plays Violet Foster, who I gather is supposed to be the point-of-view character.
