We don’t know if you noticed this, but the networks have been piling on the unscripted pilots over the last few weeks. It almost feels like the Writer’s Strike all over again. We’re going to do our best to wade through them and keep our fingers crossed that there’s some gold in that hot mess.
Momma’s Boys
Monday 10 PM, NBC
The Premise: Three men who are much too close to their mothers try to find love among a group of women who were probably passed over for other dating shows. Sort of like The Bachelor, only with mothers and the possibility of sharing a woman.
The Personnel: Oh, they don’t even have a host. The various members of the production team have worked on a number of reality shows that you forgot existed. (National Bingo Night?) And then there’s Ryan Seacrest, who serves as executive producer. For some reason, that’s not at all surprising.
