Creepiest Moment: Without getting into spoilers, there’s a murder at the end of Season Two that absolutely gives me the shivers.
Lily Tomlin – Best known on TV for sitting in a giant rocking chair and talking like a child, Tomlin showed off a
whole new side when she appeared in Season Three as Marilyn Tobin. That season revolved around Patty’s attempts to recover hidden funds from disgraced Madoff-like financier, Louis Tobin. Marilyn, Louis’ wife, is determined not to give Patty an inch, and Tomlin’s scenes with Glenn Close are just excellent. Two long-time pros with very different career orbits, it’s great to see them play off each other. At seventy, Tomlin played her toughest character ever, and she got a well-deserved Emmy nomination for her performance. This is a Lily Tomlin that you’ve never scene before.
