Moments of Joy: The Undiscovered Country

Hot in Cleveland--Week three brought us what I thought was by far the best episode of this show’s short life.  The ladies, including Elka, all set each other up on dates, with the required wacky results.  Victoria was stuck with a guy with man-boobs named Chester (silly, but still funny), Melanie got a guy not over his dead wife, whom she resembled…a lot, while Joy got a guy Victoria found at the bar and paid to go on the date.  Only Elka fared really well, meeting a guy named Max, played by Carl Reiner!  The two living legends played beautifully off each other, swapping stories of their favorite prescription meds, music and why they like to drive slow just to piss people off.  They ended up engaged, despite Max’s hesitation to go downtown.  The girls thought that meant something else.  Again, this show may have some obvious jokes, but I still find myself laughing out loud and just enjoying the 22 minutes spent with these ladies.  Nothing wrong with that!
