2. 94 Meetings — “I may have promised a new aquatic center to somebody. Is that a problem?” — Andy Dwyer
April accidentally schedules 93 meetings for Ron on the same day, and Ron enlists everybody with a brain and a spine (which somehow does not include Jerry) to handle the load. This includes Andy, who shines shoes, and Ann, who is not a government employee. Meanwhile, Leslie tries to stop a historic gazebo from being torn down, while Tom accompanies her, mostly to hit on Miss Pawnee, 1994. It’s always funny to watch Leslie take a stand, and it’s even better when Tom is there to undercut her. The meetings are hilarious – some of them are crazy people, and others have legitimate complaints that somebody like Andy is in no position to actually deal with. Then there’s the subplot where Mark’s getting ready to propose to Ann, and the beautiful 94th meeting, when Ron goes to April’s house to try and get her back after she quits. After the non-stop laughs from the rest of the episode, it’s such an effective and honest scene. It’s excellent all the way through.
