Here’s a fun fact: this episode was written by none other than Amy Poehler! Leslie cheerfully accepts the killer 2-6am hosting slot for a local access Diabetes telethon, figuring she can get everyone to pitch in, including Donna and April on phone duty. Tom is put in charge of getting Leslie’s special guest, former Indiana Pacer Detlef Schrempf, to the TV station, but they get waylayed at the Snakehole (natch) so Leslie has to vamp. This results in Ron teaching the audience how to recane a chair and Andy’s band Mouse Rat playing.
