The Best Shows on TV

The Best TV Shows on TV – TV’s Moments of Joy: Awesomesauce!

Bless your big, goofy heart, Raising Hope.

Justified – We’re still running a little behind, but last week’s Justified was one of the best TV shows we saw all week.  Timothy Olyphant’s Raylan Givens gave up the spotlight (Though he still had time to fight a check forger who ran a Christian ATV rental.  Said fight ended with a taser to the groin.)  This time out, Boyd Crowder was the focus of the episode.  Walton Goggins’ performance has been stellar since the very beginning of the series, but the fact remains that Boyd is a guy who, in the very first episode, shot an African-American church with a bazooka.  And somehow, he’s still somehow turned into a fascinating character.  In “Cottonmouth”, some of Boyd’s former associates enlisted his help to hijack the payroll from the local coal mine.  Only they intended to kill Boyd the second they got their hands on the money, and Boyd managed to figure it out early on.  He played along though, and it turned into something absolutely fascinating – Boyd Crowder forced to rely on his wits.  It was awesome.  Justified started out great, and it just keeps on getting better.
