Community – Hey, it’s Stephen Tobolowsky! The prolific character actor (“Ned! Ned Ryerson!”) appeared this week, teaching a course centered around Who’s the Boss? Abed took the course as a Spring Elective, only to have the professor mock him when he stated that the boss was, in fact, Angela. We also got the return of Professor Professorson, teaching Troy and Britta’s drama class. In order to fit in with the drama students, Troy pretended that he’d been molested by his uncle, a claim which made him unbelievably attractive to Britta. That’s not a pairing we’ve seen very often, and they’re pretty great together. And in the main plot, Pierce met an attractive Chinese woman who instantly fell in love with him. Naturally Jeff, couldn’t believe such a thing was possible and set out to find her angle. It was nice to have an episode where Pierce wasn’t an out-and-out villain. But being Pierce, he still wasn’t completely sympathetic. It was another great episode, with the best moments coming from Abed categorically proving who was and was not the boss, and Troy’s performance in an all African-American version of Fiddler on the Roof. Plus, free coats!
