The Best TV Shows on TV – TV’s Moments of Joy: Every Kind of Mustard

The Daily Show–Wednesday’s show featured Tracy Morgan, who was on fire about Donald Trump’s recent birther rants, as well as the potency of his own sperm.  The top of the episode featured Jon’s take on the ridiculousness that is the outrage over a recent J. Crew print ad that showed a mom who painted her son’s toe nails pink.  As Jon so succinctly put it, people are acting as if the woman gave her a son a tattoo that said “I Love Cocks”.

Happy Endings–While we’re growing somewhat weary of the sudden onslaught of sitcoms trying to be the next Friends, we kind of dug the first two episodes of Happy Endings, which started this week.  The cast seems to have good chemistry and timing, even though it might take us some time to adjust to seeing Damon Wayans Jr. starring on a TV show, because that makes us feel old.  There were some great one liners, and the characters are familiar enough, but still with the potential to be unique.  Our favorite line of the first two eps?  When one of the girls asks her gay friend to go to the farmer’s market, and he declines, he does so by saying he’d rather, “be in wet clothes watching Schindler’s List.”
