Justified – Man, FX just has the best TV shows, doesn’t it? We’re actually running a little behind, due to the limited number of hours in the day. However, last week’s episode was excellent. It was mostly a standalone, with only a few minutes devoted to the ongoing Bennett family story. This episode focused on a resident of a halfway house who saw his promise weekend trip revoked for a rules violation, which meant he wasn’t going to get to go home for his son’s birthday. We felt sorry for the poor guy, until he savagely beat his probation officer before escaping. There was a nice conflict the whole time, since the natural inclination is to want the guy to see his son, but he was also a nasty SOB who thought nothing of beating or shooting anybody who got in his way. And the fact that he was trying to deliver what he freely acknowledged was a Chinese knockoff Furby just added a layer of weird humor to the whole thing.
Okay, I loved Raising hope this week. I thought the Brother Husbands was classic. I just posted a blog about that before reading this.
Also I am going to have check out Justified on Fx.
Im starting to love the weekend review
Thank you! And that’s a nice Raising Hope write-up on your blog! That wasn’t a show I expected to be as good as it is, and I just love it every week.
Thanks for reading – based on your blog, it looks like we enjoy a lot of the same shows. We’re TV Buddies!
