The Colbert Report – It’s been a few years since the Writer’s Strike forced Stephen Colbert, Conan O’Brien, and Jon Stewart to spend a night appearing on one another’s show and then physically fighting. Last week Thursday, we got to see a sequel of sorts, with Stephen calling out Jimmy Fallon. Ben & Jerry gave Jimmy his own ice cream flavor, and since Stephen wants to be the only talk show host so honored (with his “Americone Dream”) he had to challenge Jimmy to a fight. Now, Stephen challenges a lot of people, but Jimmy actually showed up. And then they called upon their lead-ins to join the fray. Jon Stewart showed up, but Jay Leno (of course) was nowhere to be found. Stephen devoted most of the show to this bit, which had both an ice-cream duel and a trip to a strange dream world where an angry cone attacked Stephen and Jimmy with lasers. In a week of depressing news, it was a fun, crazy diversion. We really hope these two can let their grudge simmer and have it out again sometime in the future.
Okay, I loved Raising hope this week. I thought the Brother Husbands was classic. I just posted a blog about that before reading this.

Thank you! And that’s a nice Raising Hope write-up on your blog! That wasn’t a show I expected to be as good as it is, and I just love it every week.
Thanks for reading – based on your blog, it looks like we enjoy a lot of the same shows. We’re TV Buddies!
