Besides the sheer strangeness of the whole thing, it was great to see a loving Scooby parody that didn’t hammer the same points that have been done to death by Seth McFarlane, Kevin Smith, and any number of hacky stand-up comics. Writer Paul Dini, who’s no stranger to writing awesome episodes of various Bat-series, knocked this one out of the park.
Bob’s Burgers — No doubt you’ve been wondering how we would manage to mention Bob in a week with no new episode. Well, we were wondering that too, right up until Thursday afternoon, when FOX picked our new favorite up for a second season! We’d been kind of worried, since some sources reported that Bob’s Burgers was “on the bubble”, while at least one report indicated that it had been cancelled. Luckily, our fears were put to rest today with the renewal announcement. We’ve been delighted with the show all season, and it just keeps getting better. There are still a few episodes coming this season, so check it out on FOX, Sunday at 8:30 Eastern Time, so you can be one of the cool people who are in the know come Season Two.
